Alisa Wood has a deep dedication and passion for working in the field of substance use and mental health treatment. She attended The University of Utah to obtain her certification as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor and is presently furthering her education in Social Work. She has years of experience in working in many facets of treatment varying from counseling to recreation therapy to utilization management.
As a woman in long term recovery herself, she has found a niche in being a voice of recovery. She is committed to fiercely advocating for those suffering from the disease of addiction and other mental health issues.
Alisa loves spending time with friends and family. She devotes her free time to empowering those around her to create and live up to their fullest potential. She especially enjoys empowering other women. Alisa is also committed to confronting broad social issues related to oppression and discrimination.
