Recreation Therapist
Reports to: Clinical Director
JOB SUMMARY
The Recreation Therapist will be responsible to plan and execute all recreation therapy groups and outings at BRC South Ogden residential facility, Sandy residential facility, and Salt Lake outpatient facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Equivalent
• License Requirements: Licensed in the state of Utah: TRS, CTRS
• Current CPR Certification (can be obtained at the facility within 90 days of hire)
• Valid Driver’s License
Preferred:
• 1-year experience working in a residential/behavioral healthcare setting.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Planning recreation therapy outings
• Accurately planning costs of the outings
• Processing therapeutic issues related to recreation, living in recovery, engaging in new and healthy experiences
• Documentation of recreational activity and meeting
• Running non-outing groups (strengths group, service group)
• Create and review Recreation Therapy treatment plans
• Tracking patient satisfaction surveys
