What Inspires Me to Work in Recovery? – Zach Bunnell

Zach, a Masters level Therapist, relates the story of a woman who came to Brighton Recovery Center seeking treatment for addiction. She had recently given birth and her baby was born addicted to heroin. The shame she felt was palpable. Zach was able to walk with her through the process of addressing her emotions, behaviors, addiction, and changing her family dynamic. Her progress continued through her residential treatment, intensive outpatient, and sober living experience. Now more than a year later, she is celebrating sobriety and expecting another child. She finds fulfillment in her life and is currently gearing up to begin working within the addiction recovery community.
